Narrative:
I was flying with a student practicing some maneuvers when on the way back to microphone (crystal airport) my student requested doing a touch and go at ane (anoka county airport). I agreed. Ane is an uncontrolled airport with no control tower. After flying into ane, I discovered that they were having a fly-in and thinking to myself, why isn't there anyone talking on the radio. After the flight, I learned that there was a temporary control tower set up just for the fly-in. In other words, I flew into an airport with an operating control tower. I believe someone should have been monitoring the published unicom that could have informed me of the event taking place and that a temporary control tower was set-up for the event. I reported inbound 10 mi out and if someone could have responded on the published unicom frequency. I would not have flown in without contacting the temporary control tower. (Nor would I agree to go in to do a touch and go with an event in progress.)

Title: THE INSTRUCTOR AND HIS STUDENT DECIDED ON AN IMPULSE TO MAKE A TOUCH AND GO AT AN UNCTLED ARPT. UNFORTUNATELY, ON THIS DAY THERE WAS A TEMPORARY TWR ESTABLISHED FOR A FLY- IN.
Narrative: I WAS FLYING WITH A STUDENT PRACTICING SOME MANEUVERS WHEN ON THE WAY BACK TO MIC (CRYSTAL ARPT) MY STUDENT REQUESTED DOING A TOUCH AND GO AT ANE (ANOKA COUNTY ARPT). I AGREED. ANE IS AN UNCTLED ARPT WITH NO CTL TWR. AFTER FLYING INTO ANE, I DISCOVERED THAT THEY WERE HAVING A FLY-IN AND THINKING TO MYSELF, WHY ISN'T THERE ANYONE TALKING ON THE RADIO. AFTER THE FLT, I LEARNED THAT THERE WAS A TEMPORARY CTL TWR SET UP JUST FOR THE FLY-IN. IN OTHER WORDS, I FLEW INTO AN ARPT WITH AN OPERATING CTL TWR. I BELIEVE SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MONITORING THE PUBLISHED UNICOM THAT COULD HAVE INFORMED ME OF THE EVENT TAKING PLACE AND THAT A TEMPORARY CTL TWR WAS SET-UP FOR THE EVENT. I RPTED INBOUND 10 MI OUT AND IF SOMEONE COULD HAVE RESPONDED ON THE PUBLISHED UNICOM FREQ. I WOULD NOT HAVE FLOWN IN WITHOUT CONTACTING THE TEMPORARY CTL TWR. (NOR WOULD I AGREE TO GO IN TO DO A TOUCH AND GO WITH AN EVENT IN PROGRESS.)
