Narrative:
While conducting a VFR photo flight in a helicopter, I passed the chandler, az, airport to the west/northwest by approximately 2 1/2 to 3 mi. This airport has always been a unicom VFR airport on 123.0. I called on unicom and made several calls. On arrival to falcon field, mesa, az, the tower told me that chandler called and said they have a control tower and I was given the frequency for future knowledge. I asked the tower operator at falcon field to apologize to the tower operator at chandler airport. I was not aware of the tower now at chandler as I don't fly that area very often. It was uneventful and unintentional.

Title: THE RPTR FLEW HIS HELI ON A PHOTO FLT AT 500 FT AGL THROUGH CHANDLER CLASS D AIRSPACE WITHOUT TALKING TO TWR BECAUSE THE RPTR DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A CTL TWR THERE. HE DID CALL ON UNICOM.
Narrative: WHILE CONDUCTING A VFR PHOTO FLT IN A HELI, I PASSED THE CHANDLER, AZ, ARPT TO THE W/NW BY APPROX 2 1/2 TO 3 MI. THIS ARPT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A UNICOM VFR ARPT ON 123.0. I CALLED ON UNICOM AND MADE SEVERAL CALLS. ON ARR TO FALCON FIELD, MESA, AZ, THE TWR TOLD ME THAT CHANDLER CALLED AND SAID THEY HAVE A CTL TWR AND I WAS GIVEN THE FREQ FOR FUTURE KNOWLEDGE. I ASKED THE TWR OPERATOR AT FALCON FIELD TO APOLOGIZE TO THE TWR OPERATOR AT CHANDLER ARPT. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE TWR NOW AT CHANDLER AS I DON'T FLY THAT AREA VERY OFTEN. IT WAS UNEVENTFUL AND UNINTENTIONAL.
