Narrative:

While returning to lake hood from prince william sound I contacted lake hood tower at potter marsh and told them I had ATIS information and was inbound to land. I was told to report at the 'peanut farm.' approximately 2 mi from the peanut farm tower called me and cautioned me for wake turbulence from a landing B747 and I reported the B747 'in sight.' upon approaching the peanut farm I was warned once more about the B747 wake turbulence, but I had lost visual contact and acknowledged tower. Just inside peanut farm I saw B747's shadow below me, then he came into sight approximately 200 ft above me approaching runway 24R at anc. I saw the B747 go around, but nothing else was ever said to me from the tower other than clear to land west from the peanut farm. I don't even know if I was the reason he went around, but I feel that there were some flaws in traffic control in this occurrence.
