Narrative:
Upon landing rollout, an estimated 15 mph crosswind caught the aircraft and spun the tail to the left causing the plane to slightly skid sideways, putting a side load on the landing gear, bending it. It is my opinion that this was only a roll out incident, since the only apparent damage was to the landing gear and the fiberglass wingtip -- there were no injuries and no insurance claim. This incident might not have occurred if I had more experience in this plane and had been more aware of the crosswind. I do not believe that this was a reportable incident.
