Narrative:
Departed afe with 2 passenger and 2 boxes of freight. I loaded the passenger bags in the nose baggage and the freight in the rear, which was secured with a tie-down strap along with my personal bag. Descending through 2000 ft into juneau, we experienced some moderate turbulence. After landing at juneau and taxiing to the ramp, the FAA inspector was waiting and proudly displayed his identify badge, and requested my certificates and medical in front of all my passenger. The ramp check went well, except that during our turbulent descent, my personal bag and a box managed to become unsecure while the remaining cargo was still tied with a now loose tie- down strap. The inspector was extremely concerned and advised me to take more precautions in the future. He is correct, even though no turbulence was reported, you never know when or where it will occur. Be prepared.
