Narrative:
The G4 was level at FL330, requesting FL430 on J211. He was pointed out climbing to FL350 to the radar sector above me with reference to an aircraft at FL350 on J78 swbound. There were other aircraft in conflict with each other due to WX deviation along with a question about the amount of spacing needed for phl arrs. When I saw that the G4 was clear of the traffic on J78 I removed the temporary altitude from his data block and climbed him to the altitude he was requesting, FL430. When his mode C showed him leaving FL346 the conflict alert went off with the B747 at FL370. FLC350 was reissued to the G4 but he said he was through in and going back down. Recommendation: replace the temporary FL330 with a temporary FL350 (the coordinated altitude) at the time of the point out so as to not climb the aircraft above what was coordinated.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR COORDINATED A CLB WITH HIGH ALT CTLR TO FL350 FOR A G4. THIS WAS APPROVED AND THEN THE G4 CTLR REMOVED THE TEMPORARY ALT IN THE DATA BLOCK AND STARTED THE G4 TO F430 VERSUS THE ALT PREVIOUSLY COORDINATED. CONFLICT ALERT CAUGHT THE LTSS OCCURRING AND THE G4 WAS DSNDED BACK TO FL350.
Narrative: THE G4 WAS LEVEL AT FL330, REQUESTING FL430 ON J211. HE WAS POINTED OUT CLBING TO FL350 TO THE RADAR SECTOR ABOVE ME WITH REF TO AN ACFT AT FL350 ON J78 SWBOUND. THERE WERE OTHER ACFT IN CONFLICT WITH EACH OTHER DUE TO WX DEV ALONG WITH A QUESTION ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF SPACING NEEDED FOR PHL ARRS. WHEN I SAW THAT THE G4 WAS CLR OF THE TFC ON J78 I REMOVED THE TEMPORARY ALT FROM HIS DATA BLOCK AND CLBED HIM TO THE ALT HE WAS REQUESTING, FL430. WHEN HIS MODE C SHOWED HIM LEAVING FL346 THE CONFLICT ALERT WENT OFF WITH THE B747 AT FL370. FLC350 WAS REISSUED TO THE G4 BUT HE SAID HE WAS THROUGH IN AND GOING BACK DOWN. RECOMMENDATION: REPLACE THE TEMPORARY FL330 WITH A TEMPORARY FL350 (THE COORDINATED ALT) AT THE TIME OF THE POINT OUT SO AS TO NOT CLB THE ACFT ABOVE WHAT WAS COORDINATED.
