Narrative:
At 14000 ft were assigned 6000 ft by nrt approach and told to expedite our descent to cross aries at 6000 ft and hold at aries. We received altimeter settings of 992 hpa and 29.31 inches. We discovered that our altimeters were not set to 29.31 inches. We reset our altimeters and climbed from 5700 ft to 6000 ft. After 12 hours 30 mins of flight time, I believe that fatigue and the distraction of an ATC clearance contributed to this situation.

Title: WDB FLC FAIL TO PROPERLY SET ALTIMETER CAUSING ALTDEV. WRONG ALTIMETER SETTING.
Narrative: AT 14000 FT WERE ASSIGNED 6000 FT BY NRT APCH AND TOLD TO EXPEDITE OUR DSCNT TO CROSS ARIES AT 6000 FT AND HOLD AT ARIES. WE RECEIVED ALTIMETER SETTINGS OF 992 HPA AND 29.31 INCHES. WE DISCOVERED THAT OUR ALTIMETERS WERE NOT SET TO 29.31 INCHES. WE RESET OUR ALTIMETERS AND CLBED FROM 5700 FT TO 6000 FT. AFTER 12 HRS 30 MINS OF FLT TIME, I BELIEVE THAT FATIGUE AND THE DISTR OF AN ATC CLRNC CONTRIBUTED TO THIS SIT.
