Narrative:
Location: valre intersection. ZNY issued a restr to cross 10 mi northwest of valre intersection at or below 7000 ft, descend and maintain 6000 ft. As PNF, I read back clearance as stated. In the vicinity of valre intersection, ZNY asked us what our clearance was. I read it back again and he said negative, it was cross 10 mi northwest of valre intersection at 7000 ft then descend and maintain 6000 ft. Conditions were day VMC and no conflict occurred.
