Narrative:
Taxiing out for departure from campbell river, canada, I turned into the wind for run-up, stopped, made run-up and copied ATC, IFR departure, no tower at campbell river and after run-up I had 6-8 mins to make the takeoff. I started to taxi and saw the taxi light but thought I could taxi over it but no way -- I clipped the top of the light. Campbell radio called me to say it looked as if I had hit the light. I stopped the left engine and looked over the left propeller -- 1 blade was nicked so I started it up and made the on-time departure. When I saw the taxi light, I should have stopped the aircraft and stopped both engines, and hand pushed the aircraft back 5-6 ft, restarted and gone on my way. But no, I had to make that takeoff time! Cost me $935 for the propeller overhaul.
