Narrative:

Los angeles south ASR has intermittent primary radar on the hawthorne final. Callback conversation with ATCT supervisor revealed the following information: analyst contacted a lax ATCT supervisor regarding the radar coverage at hhr. The supervisor stated that secondary radar coverage is continuous to the runway surface. Because that airport is so near to lax, they, the tower, did not look for primary returns at hhr, but tracked data tags are observed on a regular basis.
