Narrative:
During departure runway 7R, mke, aircraft experienced a 'windshear, windshear' on GPWS accompanied by a 15 KT decreasing performance. During the recovery and with all power levers at the firewall, engine #2 indicated an overtemp of approximately 985 degrees C for 3 seconds. Tower was advised of the windshear condition. Air carrier dispatch and maintenance control were advised of both windshear condition and engine overtemp. The safest and most prudent choice of action was to continue to our destination of msp where there were no reports of, or forecasts for, windshear conditions. After talking to dispatch and maintenance control, that was what we decided to do.

Title: AN ACR DC10 CREW OVERTEMPED AN ENG FOR 3 SECONDS WHILE FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES. WX FACTORS WINDSHEAR AFTER TKOF.
Narrative: DURING DEP RWY 7R, MKE, ACFT EXPERIENCED A 'WINDSHEAR, WINDSHEAR' ON GPWS ACCOMPANIED BY A 15 KT DECREASING PERFORMANCE. DURING THE RECOVERY AND WITH ALL PWR LEVERS AT THE FIREWALL, ENG #2 INDICATED AN OVERTEMP OF APPROX 985 DEGS C FOR 3 SECONDS. TWR WAS ADVISED OF THE WINDSHEAR CONDITION. ACR DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL WERE ADVISED OF BOTH WINDSHEAR CONDITION AND ENG OVERTEMP. THE SAFEST AND MOST PRUDENT CHOICE OF ACTION WAS TO CONTINUE TO OUR DEST OF MSP WHERE THERE WERE NO RPTS OF, OR FORECASTS FOR, WINDSHEAR CONDITIONS. AFTER TALKING TO DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL, THAT WAS WHAT WE DECIDED TO DO.
