Narrative:

Once again, GGG incurred a total radar loss (primary and secondary) during a thunderstorm. I was transmitting possible precipitation returns and current field conditions to a flight holding 40 mi northwest of GGG. I informed him that it appeared we had radar failure and that I would be unable to advise him of any other possible cell locations. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter was unaware of what caused the radar failure. Reporter alleged that facility management is tight-lipped about passing out information about the radar failures due to reports on the radar failures/problems.
