Narrative:

ATC advised 20 NM from gland that an aerostar was approaching gland at 10000 ft from north (we were approaching from west) but no conflict would occur even though we were to cross gland at 10000 ft. 1 NM from gland we received 'traffic' advisory from TCASII followed immediately by RA demanding climb. Immediate climb initiated. We climbed to 10500 ft to 10700 ft when 'clear of traffic' was given by TCASII. Then we descended back to 10000 ft. First officer saw aircraft pass beneath us left to right during climb.
