Narrative:
We were cleared for civet 1 arrival to runway 25L at lax. We were notified 10 days after the flight that we were 400 ft low over fuelr by the company, who were informed by ATC. I remember nothing concerning this deviation. I wish we had been notified at the time because it is possible that an erroneous altimeter setting could have been the culprit. We do pay strict attention to required altitudes no matter which airport. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter was a so flight crew member. He has a lot of time as pilot. He was not aware of why the 8000 ft restr is in place at fuelr. Nor was he aware that following the GS on this approach would place the aircraft below the altitude restr at fuelr. Reporter was explained why the 8000 ft restr is there. With that understanding, he was asked the question that if the controller made the statement after clearance to ILS runway 25L is given, 'comply with all altitude restrs,' would it alert him that altitude xings are to be maintained. He expressed that it would be a great help to him and all flight crew members.
