Narrative:

Intermittent frequency interference on 127.8, which is main transmitter and receiver for edr. Aircraft report washington approach and pwm ATIS on frequency. Today's interference was such that we had to use backup frequency 125.65. Other frequencys continue to have sporadic problems with interference, especially west departure 125.35. Many blind spots exist on UHF frequency. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter alleged they still have the problem with the interference but that it is being worked on. Reporter said that after maintenance works on the problem, the interference clears up but returns after 4 or 5 days.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR ALLEGED THEY STILL HAVE THE PROB WITH THE INTERFERENCE BUT THAT IT IS BEING WORKED ON. RPTR SAID THAT AFTER MAINT WORKS ON THE PROB, THE INTERFERENCE CLRS UP BUT RETURNS AFTER 4 OR 5 DAYS.
