Narrative:
Runway 33 is one of our primary jet arrival runways. Due to long planned airport construction, the ILS runway 33L will be OTS for 70-90 days. The only instrument approach left is the VOR/DME runway 33L approach. The problem is: no portion of this approach is depicted on our video maps -- except the airport -- not the course, not the FAF -- nothing! We have no way of knowing if the aircraft is established on the final approach course, where he might be in relation to the FAF, nothing! In IMC, this can be very dangerous. To make matters worse, an old final approach course and FAF are depicted, about 1 mi west of the current approach. It is not widely known among bwi controllers that this course is incorrect. It is very dangerous, in my opinion, to be running apches not depicted in marginal or IMC conditions, particularly when an inaccurate depiction is displayed so near the true course.

Title: RPTR STATES THERE IS NO VIDEO MAP DEPICTION OF THE VOR DME FAF OR FINAL APCH COURSE THAT WILL BE USED DURING SHUTDOWN PERIOD OF THE ILS. AN OLD FINAL APCH COURSE AND FAF LOCATED 1 MI W OF THE CURRENT APCH IS STILL DEPICTED ON THE VIDEO MAP.

IT IS VERY DANGEROUS, IN MY OPINION, TO BE RUNNING APCHES NOT DEPICTED IN MARGINAL OR IMC CONDITIONS, PARTICULARLY WHEN AN INACCURATE DEPICTION IS DISPLAYED SO NEAR THE TRUE COURSE.
