Narrative:
We were on a center assigned heading of 090 degrees following the mdw 4 departure. We leveled off at 3000 ft. Approximately 5 mi from mdw we heard center clear someone to descend to 2000 ft. At that time we got a TA of traffic at our altitude. Center then cleared us to 5000 ft. We immediately pulled up and climbed up to 4600 ft MSL when center told us to descend to 4000 ft and maintain 040 degree on the heading. We saw the traffic and estimated a clearance of 500 ft vertical separation.

Title: NMAC DURING A CORPORATE MDT DEP OUT OF MDW.
Narrative: WE WERE ON A CTR ASSIGNED HDG OF 090 DEGS FOLLOWING THE MDW 4 DEP. WE LEVELED OFF AT 3000 FT. APPROX 5 MI FROM MDW WE HEARD CTR CLR SOMEONE TO DSND TO 2000 FT. AT THAT TIME WE GOT A TA OF TFC AT OUR ALT. CTR THEN CLRED US TO 5000 FT. WE IMMEDIATELY PULLED UP AND CLBED UP TO 4600 FT MSL WHEN CTR TOLD US TO DSND TO 4000 FT AND MAINTAIN 040 DEG ON THE HDG. WE SAW THE TFC AND ESTIMATED A CLRNC OF 500 FT VERT SEPARATION.
