Narrative:

Shortly after climb power established, a strong odor began to permeate the cockpit. This was followed by the premium flight attendant calling the cockpit to report an odor smelling like something burning throughout the cabin. Aircraft was leveled and power reduced and odor began to dissipate. A check with all stations on the interphone confirmed there was no smoke/fumes or any other evidence of a fire. All cockpit indications were normal. The flight was returned to dfw for maintenance inspection.
