Narrative:
Landed on runway 31R and was told to expedite runway exit due to aircraft on short final. Turned off on a new taxiway which still had construction barricades on either side. Was told by tower to turn right on taxiway P and hold. Was then told to not switch to the other tower frequency we use which is the normal procedure. I ended up pulling out onto runway 36R believing I had been cleared to cross and hold short of runway 36L. Tower switched us over and then cleared us to cross. No mention was made by ATC of any deviation.
