Narrative:
Approach called to say I failed to close my IFR flight plan. I believe I closed when I asked to cancel (IFR). First call not responded to and second call answered. Not given 1200 squawk which they say means I had to close on ground. We always keep same squawk here at home (dfw area). I was on visual approach and given frequency change.
