Narrative:
Fayetteville approach is a medium level 3 facility. Pope tower is in our airspace. Lately, on the weekends, pope has not been using their ATIS, and we have to read the WX and other information to each aircraft inbound to there. This is an unacceptable condition, because we are very often too busy for this added work, and it would not take their data person too long to fulfill their requirements under the 7110.65.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: TRACON CTLR COMPLAINT THAT THE MIL TWR LOCATED IN HIS AREA OF CTL DOES NOT USE THEIR ATIS ON THE WEEKENDS. CTLR SAYS THIS ADDS TO HIS WORKLOAD AS HE HAS TO GIVE EACH ACFT INBOUND TO THIS MIL ARPT THE CURRENT WX AND OTHER PERTINENT INFO.
