Narrative:
After calling a right downwind, base, and final, and when I was about 3/4 mi from end of runway, a plane pulled onto the runway without any communication. I then called 'on short final for runway 26, lodi.' while watching the plane on the runway and weighing the decision to make a 360 degree, I heard a loud crack. I thought I had blown the engine. I scanned the panel-a ok, looked at the propeller-a ok. By this time I was over the highway and the other plane was on its way. I called and said I had hit something. I thought I had hit a bird. I landed and taxied to transient parking. When I got out I noticed a tv antenna around my nose fairing. I looked back through the approach which had lines buried across the approach. I saw a tv antenna about 1/3 the way down. This was not the first time this tv antenna has been hit. I drove back down the following weekend and the tv antenna had been replaced, but shorter this time. I didn't see any reflectors on either the tv antenna, the 2 story house, or on the piece around my fairing.

Title: PVT PLT OF A CESSNA 177 STRUCK A TV ANTENNA MOUNTED ON A 2 STORY HOUSE OFF THE APCH END OF RWY 26 AT LODI, CA. A NORMAL LNDG WAS MADE WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE ACFT. THE RPTR HEARD A NOISE IN THE ENG COMPARTMENT AREA AND THOUGHT THE ENG MAY HAVE 'BLOWN!'
