Narrative:
Routine pleasure flight. Encountered UH1 (military) helicopter in hog hill and gopher ridge area. Helicopter was flying north of ridge and I didn't see him (camouflage) until he was past me. Both of us routinely use this area as it is completely uninhabited. The military helicopters that frequent this area (military), a non MOA, are very difficult to see. Perhaps there should be a MOA here so people flying have warning.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: NMAC BTWN AN SMA SEL AND 2 MIL HUEY UH1 HELIS IN AN UNINHABITED AND REMOTE AREA. SINCE THE MIL HELI ARE HARD TO SEE BECAUSE OF CAMOUFLAGE, HE BELIEVES THAT THE AREA SHOULD BE DESIGNATED AN MOA TO HELP ALERT CIVILIAN PLTS TO THE POSSIBLE PRESENCE OF MIL ACFT.
