Narrative:

Extremely loud bang lower left side of aircraft at approximately 500 ft immediately after gear raised. All indications normal. Did not sound like compressor stall or other bird strikes I've had. Continued flight to frankfurt. Requested equipment to stand by on landing. Landing normal. Maintenance found large amount of blood forward and below cockpit window as evidence of bird strike.
