Narrative:
A flight attendant entered the cockpit with a passenger problem. ATC issued a heading which was received by PNF. The PF missed the clearance due to the flight attendant distraction and turned to join the flight planned airway. We were given an immediate turn along with another aircraft.

Title: FO OF A DC9 FAILED TO COMPLY WITH A HDG CHANGE ISSUED BY ATC RESULTING IN ATC INTERVENTION WITH AN IMMEDIATE TURN FOR HIM AND ANOTHER ACFT. FO WAS DISTR AT THE TIME OF THE ATC ORIGINAL HDG CHANGE BY A FLT ATTENDANT ENTERING THE COCKPIT.
Narrative: A FLT ATTENDANT ENTERED THE COCKPIT WITH A PAX PROB. ATC ISSUED A HDG WHICH WAS RECEIVED BY PNF. THE PF MISSED THE CLRNC DUE TO THE FLT ATTENDANT DISTR AND TURNED TO JOIN THE FLT PLANNED AIRWAY. WE WERE GIVEN AN IMMEDIATE TURN ALONG WITH ANOTHER ACFT.
