Narrative:

We did not cross the dalas intersection at 14000 ft as ATC cleared us to do. The first officer programmed the FMS wrong with a 14000 ft restr at atl VOR. During the programming a flight attendant came up to the flight deck for flight connecting information. I did not notice the programming error. The FMS indicated we were on the profile descent, but for the wrong crossing restr. We did not notice the error until it was too late to make the crossing restr. We need to always double-check each other, even if there are other distractions.
