Narrative:
We were arriving into phl on the dupont 4 arrival. We were told to cross jaybo intersection at 15000 ft. We punched the crossing restr into the FMS and I began the descent. Initially; I was descending ahead of what the FMS recommended. Then I apparently began to read the descent recommendation for the next crossing restr. Naturally; this descent information was more shallow and it ended up that we crossed jaybo intersection about 400 ft high. This situation was simply due to an oversight on my part. We had an above average workload and my first officer was doing other tasks. I would recommend that when tired and fatigued; we need to slow down and take more time to verify our flight information. By the time the event had occurred; I had been awake for almost 15 hours.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FEELING FATIGUED BY A LONG DAY AND HIGH WORKLOAD; PLT OF E145 FAILS TO RECOGNIZE FLT PATH DEP FROM PROGRAMMED DSCNT. AS A RESULT FAILS TO MEET XING RESTR AT JAYBO INTXN INBOUND TO PHL.
Narrative: WE WERE ARRIVING INTO PHL ON THE DUPONT 4 ARR. WE WERE TOLD TO CROSS JAYBO INTXN AT 15000 FT. WE PUNCHED THE XING RESTR INTO THE FMS AND I BEGAN THE DSCNT. INITIALLY; I WAS DSNDING AHEAD OF WHAT THE FMS RECOMMENDED. THEN I APPARENTLY BEGAN TO READ THE DSCNT RECOMMENDATION FOR THE NEXT XING RESTR. NATURALLY; THIS DSCNT INFO WAS MORE SHALLOW AND IT ENDED UP THAT WE CROSSED JAYBO INTXN ABOUT 400 FT HIGH. THIS SIT WAS SIMPLY DUE TO AN OVERSIGHT ON MY PART. WE HAD AN ABOVE AVERAGE WORKLOAD AND MY FO WAS DOING OTHER TASKS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT WHEN TIRED AND FATIGUED; WE NEED TO SLOW DOWN AND TAKE MORE TIME TO VERIFY OUR FLT INFO. BY THE TIME THE EVENT HAD OCCURRED; I HAD BEEN AWAKE FOR ALMOST 15 HRS.
