Narrative:
Software problem -- ATCT controller attempting to transfer control of ASR-9 equipment from ATCT to RAPCON (this is accomplished by entering a #2 on ASR-9 computer). Accidently entered #3 which turns the radar antenna off with 1 keystroke. This event has happened several times. There needs to be some type of safeguard to prevent reoccurrence, ie, 'are you sure?'

Title: CTLR ENTERS WRONG NUMBER WHEN SWITCHING CTL FROM THE TWR TO THE RAPCON AND SHUT DOWN THE RADAR ANTENNA.
Narrative: SOFTWARE PROB -- ATCT CTLR ATTEMPTING TO TRANSFER CTL OF ASR-9 EQUIP FROM ATCT TO RAPCON (THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY ENTERING A #2 ON ASR-9 COMPUTER). ACCIDENTLY ENTERED #3 WHICH TURNS THE RADAR ANTENNA OFF WITH 1 KEYSTROKE. THIS EVENT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME TYPE OF SAFEGUARD TO PREVENT REOCCURRENCE, IE, 'ARE YOU SURE?'
