Narrative:
On the tomsn arrival into den, descent started from FL190 to 13000 ft. Inside of tomsn intersection VMC conditions. We encountered severe turbulence at 14000 ft. The aircraft was at 240 KTS, then speed increased to 270 KTS, followed by a severe downdraft. Aircraft was displaced only in pitch, not roll. Encounter lasted about 10-15 seconds then occasional light turbulence down to the landing. Passenger notified us that both flight attendants were hurt. Paramedics were called when aircraft was on ground.
