Narrative:
While returning to USA from 2 days in freeport-bahamas, direct to ft pierce, fl, I filed DVFR with freeport FSS. I confirmed initiation with freeport tower. On landing, I was requested by tower (ft pierce) to call, by phone, miami ATC. They advised that I should have called miami radio, on departure from freeport, to get squawk code. I now know to do this, but it did not mention this requirement anywhere in the bahamas guidebook, and was not explained to me by united states FSS or bahamas FSS. My DVFR included an estimate of ADIZ penetration.
