Narrative:
Cleared on civet arrival, descended to 14000 ft. Crosschecked FMS with raw data to verify civet intersection, azimuth was good but I didn't wait for DME to lock on. FMS showed passing civet, so I started descent to next crossing restr and center advised we descended 4 mi early. I've had the FMS be off before at civet but only on azimuth. Next time I'll check DME also.
