Narrative:
Location: bwi/155/10. Routine flight until gear extension on approach to bwi. No left main gear green light. Recycled gear. Same indication, right and nose gear normal. Entered downwind and completed gear disagree abnormal. Still no left main gear green light. Attempted contact with dispatch and maintenance. No luck due to no phone patch capability at bwi operations and altitude too low for air carrier radio. Performed fly-by. Bwi personnel in truck near runway reported gear appeared to be normally extended. Flew additional pattern to normal landing on the runway, requested emergency vehicles observe normal gear position. Air carrier maintenance observed same and pinned gear. Uneventful taxi to gate. Suggest gear disagree abnormal provide additional guidance immediately following the step, 'landing gear lights, test.' our left main gear light did not test. Captain's attempts to change the bulbs were unsuccessful, perhaps due to the complex design of the light module.
