Narrative:
On bdr tower frequency, we were instructed to back-taxi into position and hold runway 29 (back-taxi distance is approximately 1000 ft). While completing the remainder of the 'line-up' items on the checklist, we set in the assigned departure frequency on the standby side. Then we accidentally switched the button from standby to active. As we were starting the 180 degree turn into position, we were discussing the other aircraft in the traffic pattern. We determined through visual contact and our TCASII, that he just turned base about 2 mi out. After lining up into position, we attempted to call the tower to confirm our status. At that point we realized that we had mistakenly switched off tower frequency. We immediately called the tower, who was in the process of having the other aircraft switch to landing runway 24. They cleared us for takeoff with a request to call them on the telephone as soon as practical. Total time off the frequency was approximately 2 mins. Our mistake, but it was not intentional.

Title: C650 WAS CLRED TO BACK-TAXI INTO POS AND, WHILE DOING SO, THEY ACCIDENTALLY CHANGED FROM TWR FREQ TO DEP CTL. THEY DISCOVERED THEIR MISTAKE, BUT NOT UNTIL AFTER ONE ARR HAD TO BE CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT RWY.
Narrative: ON BDR TWR FREQ, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO BACK-TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD RWY 29 (BACK-TAXI DISTANCE IS APPROX 1000 FT). WHILE COMPLETING THE REMAINDER OF THE 'LINE-UP' ITEMS ON THE CHKLIST, WE SET IN THE ASSIGNED DEP FREQ ON THE STANDBY SIDE. THEN WE ACCIDENTALLY SWITCHED THE BUTTON FROM STANDBY TO ACTIVE. AS WE WERE STARTING THE 180 DEG TURN INTO POS, WE WERE DISCUSSING THE OTHER ACFT IN THE TFC PATTERN. WE DETERMINED THROUGH VISUAL CONTACT AND OUR TCASII, THAT HE JUST TURNED BASE ABOUT 2 MI OUT. AFTER LINING UP INTO POS, WE ATTEMPTED TO CALL THE TWR TO CONFIRM OUR STATUS. AT THAT POINT WE REALIZED THAT WE HAD MISTAKENLY SWITCHED OFF TWR FREQ. WE IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE TWR, WHO WAS IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING THE OTHER ACFT SWITCH TO LNDG RWY 24. THEY CLRED US FOR TKOF WITH A REQUEST TO CALL THEM ON THE TELEPHONE AS SOON AS PRACTICAL. TOTAL TIME OFF THE FREQ WAS APPROX 2 MINS. OUR MISTAKE, BUT IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL.
