Narrative:

Suspected bird strike #3 engine on takeoff lax. Engine had noticeable vibration, and slow oil quantity loss. Oil quantity decreased to 0, and engine was precautionarily shut down at XX48Z. Planned to restart engine and use for approach at nrt, japan. Engine was started during descent and normal landing made at nrt. Found damage to engine due to bird strike on takeoff at lax. Supplemental information from acn 358974: wind 010 degrees at 20 KTS gusting to 27 KTS, peak gust 47 KTS, opted to avoid anc and continue to nrt for operational safety. During entire event #3 engine had normal oil pressure, temperature, and engine EPR, egt, N1, N2, all normal.
