Narrative:
Air frame vibration, #2 engine EPR low, N2 low, with high egt. Shut engine down. Moderate vibration did not go away at 250 KTS. Declared an emergency and landed at bna. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter was flying the B727-200. He will 'fly this aircraft till I quit!' the engine came apart, suffered a turbine failure. There was no further aircraft damage and no injury.

Title: A B727-200 CAPT RPTS THAT HE HAD AN INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN.
Narrative: AIR FRAME VIBRATION, #2 ENG EPR LOW, N2 LOW, WITH HIGH EGT. SHUT ENG DOWN. MODERATE VIBRATION DID NOT GO AWAY AT 250 KTS. DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED AT BNA. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR WAS FLYING THE B727-200. HE WILL 'FLY THIS ACFT TILL I QUIT!' THE ENG CAME APART, SUFFERED A TURBINE FAILURE. THERE WAS NO FURTHER ACFT DAMAGE AND NO INJURY.
