Narrative:
My concern for writing this was I was working a mid shift at mem ATCT and I received a convective SIGMET 7C (severe thunderstorm). This was the first indication I had that a SIGMET was in the area. However, all through the night I was observing lightning all around the airport area. I had a lot of departures and none of my aircraft were given any information about the above WX until I received 7C. At the time this occurred ZME radar was down and they were on darc.
