Narrative:

On final approach into syracuse, ny, we dropped the gear and saw a nose gear unsafe light. We notified syr tower, executed a missed approach, and received clearance to climb to 2000 ft and hold to the east of the airport as necessary. After declaring an emergency, we completed the appropriate checklists, and determined that the gear was down. We landed without incident, cleared the runway, and requested that the nose gear be pinned as a precaution.
