Narrative:
While parking on tie down at ramp, propeller hit the tie down rope taking piece of metal from propeller tip. Shut down engine without further problem. No injuries resulted. Loose tie down ropes on ramp create a hazard to aircraft propellers.

Title: A SMA WHILE TAXIING TO A PARKING AREA STRUCK A TIE DOWN ROPE AND DAMAGED PROP BLADE TIP.
Narrative: WHILE PARKING ON TIE DOWN AT RAMP, PROP HIT THE TIE DOWN ROPE TAKING PIECE OF METAL FROM PROP TIP. SHUT DOWN ENG WITHOUT FURTHER PROB. NO INJURIES RESULTED. LOOSE TIE DOWN ROPES ON RAMP CREATE A HAZARD TO ACFT PROPS.
