Narrative:
Center told us to cross bucks intersection at '8000 ft' with current altimeter setting of 30.34 inches. The preliminary landing checklist had been accomplished. We changed radio frequencys to phl approach, level at 8000 ft. Phl approach asked if we were level at 8000 ft and gave us a new altimeter setting. At that point (PF) noticed that the altimeter was still reading standard, 29.92 inches, not qnh of 30.34 inches. PNF was showing approximately 8400 ft. PF reset the qnh and altitude corrected. As PF I selected the qnh via the button, but I never activated. Phl approach very quiet and no conflict. Supplemental information from acn 362640: both pilots were somewhat fatigued as this was the third leg of the day and third day of trip. Had been on duty 6 hours and 15 mins at this point.

Narrative: CTR TOLD US TO CROSS BUCKS INTXN AT '8000 FT' WITH CURRENT ALTIMETER SETTING OF 30.34 INCHES. THE PRELIMINARY LNDG CHKLIST HAD BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. WE CHANGED RADIO FREQS TO PHL APCH, LEVEL AT 8000 FT. PHL APCH ASKED IF WE WERE LEVEL AT 8000 FT AND GAVE US A NEW ALTIMETER SETTING. AT THAT POINT (PF) NOTICED THAT THE ALTIMETER WAS STILL READING STANDARD, 29.92 INCHES, NOT QNH OF 30.34 INCHES. PNF WAS SHOWING APPROX 8400 FT. PF RESET THE QNH AND ALT CORRECTED. AS PF I SELECTED THE QNH VIA THE BUTTON, BUT I NEVER ACTIVATED. PHL APCH VERY QUIET AND NO CONFLICT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 362640: BOTH PLTS WERE SOMEWHAT FATIGUED AS THIS WAS THE THIRD LEG OF THE DAY AND THIRD DAY OF TRIP. HAD BEEN ON DUTY 6 HRS AND 15 MINS AT THIS POINT.
