Narrative:
On takeoff distracted by captain's windshield wiper failure (first officer flying). After rotation, left generator failed. Both pilots somewhat distracted (suspected engine failure). We both focused on aircraft control and diagnosing our situation and thus failed to turn onto the 328 degree radial on departure (runway 36 dca). Continued on approximately runway heading until about 6 DME and then on course. May have overflown prohibited area(south) in dca area. Chain of events: multiple system failures resulting in distractions.

Title: AN ACR DC9 FLC WAS DISTRACTED BY SYS FAILURES JUST AFTER TKOF AND FLEW THROUGH PROHIBITED AREA P-56.
Narrative: ON TKOF DISTRACTED BY CAPT'S WINDSHIELD WIPER FAILURE (FO FLYING). AFTER ROTATION, L GENERATOR FAILED. BOTH PLTS SOMEWHAT DISTRACTED (SUSPECTED ENG FAILURE). WE BOTH FOCUSED ON ACFT CTL AND DIAGNOSING OUR SIT AND THUS FAILED TO TURN ONTO THE 328 DEG RADIAL ON DEP (RWY 36 DCA). CONTINUED ON APPROX RWY HEADING UNTIL ABOUT 6 DME AND THEN ON COURSE. MAY HAVE OVERFLOWN PROHIBITED AREA(S) IN DCA AREA. CHAIN OF EVENTS: MULTIPLE SYS FAILURES RESULTING IN DISTRACTIONS.
