Narrative:
Reporter is ATP working for an ia mechanic toward a&P certificate. Owner stated aircraft was in annual and flight to pick up aircraft for new annual (lou-cev) was started. Aircraft was given thorough preflight by both mechanics and reporter, however, no logbooks were found. Flight was begun anyway. Halfway to destination, fuel pressure was lost, and successful forced landing with no injuries or damage was completed. Subsequent inspection saw aircraft in poor condition and logbooks as of this writing have not been located. Be careful of what you get into!
