Narrative:

The frequency 120.47 at ZID, lytle lo sector is constantly breaking down. It becomes so garbled with interference and bleed over from another frequency that it often becomes unusable and makes the sector unmanageable. Today we lost radio communications with an aircraft heading towards a hot military operations area because of the frequency problems. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter was unaware if a ucr had been filed on the frequency problem. Reporter indicated the frequency was released to air facility to work on it but that it was returned briefly to make contact with the GA aircraft heading toward the hot restr area for control and frequency change instructions. Reporter did not recall the type aircraft. Reporter, referring to the frequency problem, alleges maintenance said that's the way it comes to the facility. Reporter is unaware of any changes made or planned to correct the frequency problem. Reporter speculated that the problem may be a ham operator due to the nature of the broadcast.

Title: RPTR SAYS FREQ UNUSABLE DUE TO INTERFERENCE AND BLEED OVER FROM ANOTHER FREQ. LOST COM WITH AN ACFT HEADING TOWARDS A HOT MIL OPS AREA.

Narrative: THE FREQ 120.47 AT ZID, LYTLE LO SECTOR IS CONSTANTLY BREAKING DOWN. IT BECOMES SO GARBLED WITH INTERFERENCE AND BLEED OVER FROM ANOTHER FREQ THAT IT OFTEN BECOMES UNUSABLE AND MAKES THE SECTOR UNMANAGEABLE. TODAY WE LOST RADIO COMS WITH AN ACFT HEADING TOWARDS A HOT MIL OPS AREA BECAUSE OF THE FREQ PROBS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR WAS UNAWARE IF A UCR HAD BEEN FILED ON THE FREQ PROB. RPTR INDICATED THE FREQ WAS RELEASED TO AIR FACILITY TO WORK ON IT BUT THAT IT WAS RETURNED BRIEFLY TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE GA ACFT HEADING TOWARD THE HOT RESTR AREA FOR CTL AND FREQ CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS. RPTR DID NOT RECALL THE TYPE ACFT. RPTR, REFERRING TO THE FREQ PROB, ALLEGES MAINT SAID THAT'S THE WAY IT COMES TO THE FACILITY. RPTR IS UNAWARE OF ANY CHANGES MADE OR PLANNED TO CORRECT THE FREQ PROB. RPTR SPECULATED THAT THE PROB MAY BE A HAM OPERATOR DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE BROADCAST.
