Narrative:
Passing through 7000 ft MSL, the master warning light flashed, accompanied by a checklist on the MFDU. The caption 'liftdumpers unsafe' (liftdumper = ground spoiler lift/weight sensing actuator) appeared for a fraction of a second in red, then turned white. The MFDU was cleared and approximately 30 seconds later the same thing happened again. We notified austin departure control that we needed to return to austin for landing. The master warning light came on numerous times prior to landing, and the sequence of events were identical to the previous incidents described above. At austin, maintenance deactivated the liftdumpers in accordance with MEL. At XA00 we departed austin without any further problems.

Title: AN ACR FK10 FLC HAD TO RETURN TO THEIR DEP ARPT WHEN THE MFDU STARTED TO DISPLAY A 'LIFTDUMPERS UNSAFE' MESSAGE ACCOMPANIED BY A MASTER WARNING LIGHT.
Narrative: PASSING THROUGH 7000 FT MSL, THE MASTER WARNING LIGHT FLASHED, ACCOMPANIED BY A CHKLIST ON THE MFDU. THE CAPTION 'LIFTDUMPERS UNSAFE' (LIFTDUMPER = GND SPOILER LIFT/WT SENSING ACTUATOR) APPEARED FOR A FRACTION OF A SECOND IN RED, THEN TURNED WHITE. THE MFDU WAS CLRED AND APPROX 30 SECONDS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. WE NOTIFIED AUSTIN DEP CTL THAT WE NEEDED TO RETURN TO AUSTIN FOR LNDG. THE MASTER WARNING LIGHT CAME ON NUMEROUS TIMES PRIOR TO LNDG, AND THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS WERE IDENTICAL TO THE PREVIOUS INCIDENTS DESCRIBED ABOVE. AT AUSTIN, MAINT DEACTIVATED THE LIFTDUMPERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MEL. AT XA00 WE DEPARTED AUSTIN WITHOUT ANY FURTHER PROBS.
