Narrative:

During taxi to runway 22R on taxiway B at jfk, we received further taxi instructions from ground control to cross runway 31R on taxiway east, then right on taxiway C to taxiway za. After crossing runway 31R on taxiway east, ground control issued a full route clearance different from our pre departure clearance due to WX en route. While copying full route clearance the aircraft taxied past taxiway C and continued on taxiway east. When tower control frequency was selected, tower control instructed us to switch back to ground control frequency for further taxi clearance. Ground control cleared us to continue on taxiway east, then right on taxiway Y and right on taxiway za to hold short of runway 22R.

Title: DURING TAXI THIS ACR MD88 FLC BECAME DISTRACTED COPYING A FULL RTE CLRNC CHANGE AND TAXIED PAST A TURN POINT. THE TWR CTLR HAD THEM SWITCHED BACK TO GND CTL TO REPOSITION.

Narrative: DURING TAXI TO RWY 22R ON TXWY B AT JFK, WE RECEIVED FURTHER TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FROM GND CTL TO CROSS RWY 31R ON TXWY E, THEN R ON TXWY C TO TXWY ZA. AFTER XING RWY 31R ON TXWY E, GND CTL ISSUED A FULL RTE CLRNC DIFFERENT FROM OUR PDC DUE TO WX ENRTE. WHILE COPYING FULL RTE CLRNC THE ACFT TAXIED PAST TXWY C AND CONTINUED ON TXWY E. WHEN TWR CTL FREQ WAS SELECTED, TWR CTL INSTRUCTED US TO SWITCH BACK TO GND CTL FREQ FOR FURTHER TAXI CLRNC. GND CTL CLRED US TO CONTINUE ON TXWY E, THEN R ON TXWY Y AND R ON TXWY ZA TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 22R.
