Narrative:
During takeoff roll from las on flight to msp, the #3 engine exceeded the egt limits for 1 min and 40 seconds. The engine did not achieve full N1 takeoff power during this time. Because of the outside air temperature, high altitude and sua requirements, I elected to continue takeoff and not abort. After gear retraction and flap retraction climb power was selected and the egt came down within limits. The rest of the flight was uneventful.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: PIC OF A WIDE ACFT EXCEEDED EGT TKOF LIMITS ON #3 ENG FOR 1 MIN AND 40 SECONDS WHEN THE N1 FAILED TO REACH DESIRED RPM. PIC DID NOT ABORT THE TKOF BUT CONTINUED THE FLT TO DEST ARPT.
