Narrative:
Taxiing into gate xyz in cle, an unfamiliar gate to our company (xx). Marshaller brought us into the gate area normally. The jetway operator was moving the jetway as we were inbound to the gate. As we proceeded closer to the parking area, my vision became obstructed by the jetway. The marshaller crossed his wands normally and walked away. A company non revenue passenger deplaning told me the left wing came in contact with a baggage cart. I looked out the jetway window to see the left wingtip had struck the baggage cart. The red navigation light lens sustained a small crack and the corner of the cart put a small dent into the wingtip. After maintenance inspected the damage and found it to be within limits, we proceeded to return to mke without further incident.
