Narrative:
Practice engine out on takeoff with CFI aboard. Pulled power at about 30 ft AGL on takeoff from runway 35 at jyo. Gusty northwest winds prevailed -- briefer (FSS) had mentioned possible LLWS (windshear). Airspeed decayed from 80 to 60 KIAS. Landed hard, nose high. Minor damage to left hand gear door. Factors 1) preflight briefing -- inadequate, 2) late go around, 3) LLWS/gusty surface winds.
