Narrative:

While cruising at FL310 we received a SELCAL from our company to contact the center on 133.15. We had been monitoring the frequency, but heard nothing. We switched to 133.15 and they did not answer. Then we switched to #2 communication and did make contact. If center did hand us off earlier we did not hear, nor did center acknowledge. I recommend the ATC be required to acknowledge frequency changes. No evasive action was necessary or required.
