Narrative:
Landed without landing clearance. Approach never advised our ferry flight to switch to tower. Copilot (PNF) forgot to ask approach controller permission to go to tower. I (captain flying) asked him on short final if we were cleared to land. He said yes. Contributing to forgetfulness and event, approach control cleared aircraft in front of us for short approach, kind of close. I had to slow down real fast and it was turbulent at the time also.
