Narrative:

On downwind leg of visual approach at orf to runway 23 abeam tower we were cleared to land. Captain's leg, no traffic on frequency, no indication from tower of traffic other than us. Turning base to final approximately 800 ft we got TCASII alert with superimposed target. Target subsequently appeared in r-hand windshield -- evasive left pull-up, avoided impact, go around uneventful. I talked to tower supervisor on ground line and he indicated that no further report was necessary.
